Residential rooftop solar

Residential rooftop solar, sized to your terrace.

A useful first review

Three factors determine the right system.

No standard package fits every terrace. We begin with the information that changes the design.

01

Your bill

Recent electricity use gives us the first system-size range.

02

Your roof

Shade, water tanks, access and structure decide the usable area.

03

Your connection

Meter type and DISCOM details determine the application route.

Indicative pricing

What a home system costs, before and after subsidy.

Planning figures for a typical Gujarat rooftop, not a quotation. Installed price falls as the system gets bigger, and the central subsidy is capped at ₹78,000 from 3 kW upward. Your figure depends on the roof, the structure and the meter.

Modelled at 4.4 units per kWp per day and ₹7.5 per displaced unit — below the all-in residential rate, because domestic tariffs are telescopic and fixed charges continue whatever the roof makes. Subsidy is released after installation and DISCOM verification. Figures are indicative and subject to applicable government regulations, tariff structure, project conditions and tax treatment.

Housing societies and RWAs

Common facilities are funded per kW.

Lifts, pumps, corridor lighting and EV charging on a shared society meter are supported at ₹18,000 per kW rather than against the household slabs, up to 500 kW for the society.

3 kW common₹54,000₹18,000 per kW
5 kW common₹90,000₹18,000 per kW
10 kW common₹1,80,000₹18,000 per kW
25 kW common₹4,50,000₹18,000 per kW

The 500 kW ceiling counts the individual rooftop plants residents have already installed, and the scheme reckons capacity at up to 10 kW per house. Read the full subsidy guide.

Home solar questions

Frequently asked questions.

How do I know what size system my home needs?

Share a recent electricity bill. We estimate the first size from your consumption, then confirm it after checking the roof, shade and connection.

Is the ₹78,000 subsidy available for every home?

It is the maximum central assistance for eligible residential rooftop systems of 3 kW and above. Final eligibility and disbursal depend on the National Portal and DISCOM verification.

What happens during the site survey?

We check usable roof area, shade, access, the meter and the cable route. You then receive the proposed size and scope for your home.

Will the system work during a power cut?

A standard on-grid system switches off during a grid outage for safety. If backup is important, tell us during the survey so the suitable system architecture can be discussed.
